We are a Nonprofit corporation created in the United States of America to be part of the Lord,s great commission. It is out great joy to spread the love of the Lord to the wonderful people of the Philippines. We are a Christ centered para church organization in that we work with many denominations to strengthen their outreach to their communities. We started doing missions work in the Philippines in 2015 just using our own financial resources. The founders are Mike and Deb Durnin and Jon and Jan Porter. Dr. Mike Durnin, an oral surgeon, along with his wife Deb provided dental care for many people and provided dental training for dentists. The ministry has hugely expanded to include Bible distribution, food distribution, marriage support, pastor development, a resource center, and ukulele training and outreach programs. You can see detailed information on Our Missions page.
Pastor Mike – I have been involved in Christian ministry and mission dentistry for over 25 years. I have worked with Mission operations in the US, Mexico, Honduras and most recently here in the Philippine Islands. More recently my work has been with Pastors from many locations.
Deb – Deb has participated with me for the last 12 years in a variety of capacities, from dental assisting, team management, women’s ministry, children’s bible classes and counseling.
Jan and I arrived in Tablas in 2015. We held a long standing dream of teaching kids to play the Ukulele. In just over three years we had 500 kids on stage representing multiple churches and denominations praising Jesus in worship.
Over 68 churches participated in this ministry and many more have expressed a strong interest. We feel that we have been called to walk beside Pastors and church leaders to aid in their work and bringing this message to the lost. We are excited to be returning in the fall to reunite with such an amazing group of spiritual leaders. and Jan
